The difference between knotless and traditional box braids is how the braids are installed. Traditional Box Braids are started or installed with 2 pieces of hair sectioned in two or four and then braided. Knotless on the other hand uses small pieces of hair to feed into the braid at the start to give it a more “natural” or “no bump” look, it takes a little more time to install and thus costs more than regular braids at $200 .
